FOSTER Jonathan Passed away peacefully on May 21, 2020, aged 82, at home in Pinner. Much-loved and cherished husband to Joan, father to Nicholas & Benedict, grandfather to Charlie and Gordon, and brother to Charles. For many years Senior Lecturer in Classics at Liverpool University; lay-preacher at St Alban's, North Harrow and St Peter's, Formby; Vice-President of the Virgil Society. Scholar of Balliol College, Oxford and Aberdeen University; formerly of Robert Gordon's College, Aberdeen. Author of Learning Latin. Passionate lover of classical music, particularly Haydn and Dvorak. We will miss him enormously. Memorial to be held at a later date.
